Johnson attacks Democrats after failed vote and says Republicans will come up with another solution

After the failed House vote tonight, Speaker Mike Johnson blamed Democrats and said GOP leaders will find another solution.

“We will re-group and we will come up with another solution. So stay tuned,” Johnson told reporters.
“It’s very disappointing to us that all but two Democrats voted against aid to farmers and ranchers, against disaster relief, against all these bipartisan measures that had already been negotiated and decided upon,” he said.

There will be no more votes in the House tonight as Republican leaders meet behind closed doors to chart a path forward.
